1.Planet Solutions- Jeevika Vidyalaya (A skill training project)

It is an initiative supported by OSFDC, Dept. Of SC ST, Govt. of Odisha which offers residential/non residential training to BPL SC/ST youths of Odisha state on trades which will help these candidates find appropriate jobs or means to earn livelihood to support themselves & their families & lead a respectable life in the society. OSFDC, under the ST & SC Development Department, Govt. of Orissa implements a variety of income generating schemes and skill development programmes to create employment opportunities for its target group. As a strategy to further strengthen its intervention for the socioeconomic development of the ST & SC communities, OSFDC intends to focus on the Skill development/ Skill up-gradation, Placement Linked Employability Training and Skill Development Training with an objective of developing employability and entrepreneurship skills among the SC/ ST youths, women members of SHGs and capacitate them to take up self-employment programme as well as the market oriented job opportunities in different sectors.

2.Planet Solutions- Skill training centers

As a strategy to further strengthen our intervention for the socioeconomic development of the underprivileged communities, PLANET SOLUTIONS intends to focus on the Skill development/ Skill up-gradation, Placement Linked Employability Training and Skill Development Training with an objective of developing employability and entrepreneurship skills among all underprivileged youths thereby helping these candidates find appropriate jobs or means to earn livelihood to support themselves & their families & lead a respectable life in the society. Planet Solutions in its quest to partner Government’s noble mission of skilling 500 million youths by 2040 and making India the skill capital of the world has planned to open skill centers all over the nation where unemployed youths can be trained. We have taken concrete steps in this direction.

3.Planet Development Foundation- UTKARSH: A Capacity Building Programme for DPCL

It is a joint initiative by Dhamra Port Company Limited & Team Planet’s entity Planet Development Foundation. In order to become the most efficient world class port facility, Dhamra Port Company Limited (DPCL) and its Human Resource Development department focuses in (i) providing in-service training and mentoring (ii) promoting capacity building and team support exercises (iii) conducting on job skill development training programs. The development of skills and motivation of its staff force those are recruited under the rehabilitation scheme for displaced family is one of the major objectives of the company’s human resource development policy. In this regard, a technical collaboration was made with Planet Development Foundation (PDF) to extend technical support and undertake 4 days (16 hours) skill and motivation training for DPCL’s 212 number of workforce recruited under its displaced families’ rehabilitation programme with a specially designed customized training programme called “Utkarsh” focusing on the work related areas, communication and team building components. The training programme covered workers, those are currently placed in different departments, both in technical and non technical and are playing a critical link with the local community, workforce and management. 4.Planet Development Foundation- Child Protection Study in 4 districts of Odisha

Planet Development Foundation in partnership with social sector organizations like SOVA (South Odisha Voluntary Action) & DISHA conducted a situation analysis study with support from DCPU (District Child Protection Unit) for UNICEF. This study was meant to look into the prevailing situation in 4 conflict affected districts of Odisha namely Malkangiri, Koraput, Sundargarh and Nabarangpur & to develop an integrated plan of action for Child Protection (CP) in these districts. The basic purpose of this study was to assess the present situation & subsequently strengthen the Child protection system/mechanism in these 3 districts with a focus on Advocacy agenda to take forward these CP issues from these districts to state level. The exercise of developing a plan of action was based on Field level situation analysis through CP mapping processes & CP risk analysis within the rights framework. This study also examined the scope of existing CP system under ICPS framework, accountability mechanisms & resources available to address the issues at district level.
